Who We Are

Association Kamsi (Kamsi Corporation) was founded in July 2025 in the State of Maryland. Our goal is to support orphans and children facing family challenges in Cameroon. Our center, the Kamsi House, is located in the city of Bafang, Cameroon. It is a house designed to help 16 children feel at home.

We do not only provide them with a roof over their heads; we provide a nurturing environment aimed at healing past wounds, building credibility and trust, supporting their education and instruction, providing health care and emotional support, and giving them the tools they need for a better future.

The Kamsi House is there for children who live without parental care and face challenges with education and health care. Disease, poverty and conflict have left vulnerable and orphaned children facing exploitation, neglect and a cycle of poverty without stable support.

Your investment makes a difference. We are a 501(c)(3) certified organization. All donations are invested wisely, and we will be proud to show you the progress made.

A Message from Our President

Welcome to Kamsi. In our language, Kamsi means “gather,” like a hen gathering her chicks under her wings. That is our calling: to gather children who have no one to hold them, and give them a home.

Our vision is a Bafang where no child grows up alone. Every child at the Kamsi House should be safe, loved, in school, healthy, and growing up with purpose, ready one day to give back to the community that gathered them.

Kamsi means “gather”

Kamsi is also the title of a local song that asks the Almighty God to gather the orphan children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. That is what we do, one child at a time.

Testimonials

In the children's words

I was born in the street, to a mom with a mental illness. I never had a chance to meet my dad. A family gave me shelter, but I always ended up back in the street. At the Kamsi House, I found a place I can call home. The street is now behind me.
Nadia, 8 years old
Mom could not take care of me. Dad was away. I ended up with grandma, who could not bear all the costs. At the Kamsi House, I found the support I needed to continue school.
Esther, 7 years old
I ran away from my grandmother's house in search of my mother. I could not find her and I was brought here. My mom said she cannot take care of me. I found another family here.
Samuel, 9 years old
