In their own words: children of the Kamsi House share what having a home means to them.
I was born in the street, to a mom with a mental illness. I never had a chance to meet my dad. A family gave me shelter, but I always ended up back in the street. At the Kamsi House, I found a place I can call home. The street is now behind me.
Mom could not take care of me. Dad was away. I ended up with grandma, who could not bear all the costs. At the Kamsi House, I found the support I needed to continue school.
I ran away from my grandmother's house in search of my mother. I could not find her and I was brought here. My mom said she cannot take care of me. I found another family here.
Names have been changed to protect the children's privacy.
