As with many households in Cameroon, it can take weeks and sometimes a month to have clean water coming out of the faucet. When water is available, millions of bacteria can be present in drinking water. This exposes children to unsanitary and unhygienic conditions.
Contaminated water is a breeding ground for cholera, dysentery, salmonella and many other bacteria and parasites.
Our clean water campaign is a step toward providing safe drinking water to children so that no child will have to suffer the consequences of a poor water supply. One of the solutions is water drilling.
